The problem is that for 400 years plus, Black people have been taught that Black life has no value in America. We have learned to hate ourselves and kind, which is self-hate. We must now be about the business of teaching ourselves, children, grandchildren, and future generation self Love. Once we learn to self Love ourselves, our children, our family, then we can properly Love our community.

Black Americans are disproportionately impacted by community violence. We experience 10 times the gun homicides, 18 times the gun assault injuries.

Over the past decade in our communities across America, over 300,000 Black Americans have been killed as a result of community violence—and millions more have been the victim of assaults, robberies, and other crimes involving violence.
